Short Term Course in Land Surveying

About the course

This course offers in-depth training on the use of advanced surveying instruments such as Total Station, Differential GPS (DGPS) and Auto Level for accurate field data collection. Candidates will also learn how to integrate and process this data using industry-relevant software tools like AutoCAD and LISCAD. The program emphasizes practical, hands-on experience through field exercises and lab sessions ensuring learners gain real-world skills in topographical mapping, land measurement, and layout planning. By bridging theory with application, the course equips students with the technical proficiency required for professional roles in civil engineering, urban planning, infrastructure development and design projects (Course Brochure).

Who can apply?

Eligible applicants include M.Tech, B.Tech and Diploma holders in Civil, Architecture, Planning, Mining, Mechanical or Electronics. ITI certificate holders (Civil, Drafting and Surveying) and graduates from any recognized discipline can also apply. Professionals from government departments, NGOs, and academic institutions may participate as sponsored candidates.

Course Duration

The course lasts for 3 months (12 weeks) and includes theory classes, practical sessions, and project work. It is offered four times a year, starting in January, April, July, and October.

Those who want to reserve their seats while applying itself should pay (via Online/ Demand Draft) Rs.2,500/- (Rs. 2,000/- is the amount that is paid from the course fee in advance to book the seat), provided the qualifications are matching with the requirement.
